This Privacy Policy explains how Lumire (www.lumire.shop), an independent beauty editorial website operated from Helsinki, Finland, collects and uses personal data. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What Lumire is
Lumire publishes beauty guides and comparisons. We do not sell products and we do not process payments. When you buy something we mention, you buy it directly from the retailer, and that retailer's own privacy policy applies to your purchase.
Data we collect
- Newsletter: if you sign up, we store your email address so we can send you new guides and seasonal picks. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Messages: if you email us or use our contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry.
- Website usage: our website platform (Shopify) collects basic technical and usage data, such as pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location, to run the site securely and understand how it is used. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent through our cookie banner.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links on Lumire are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave our website, and the retailer or affiliate network (for example Awin) may place a cookie or use a tracking identifier so the purchase can be credited to Lumire. Lumire does not receive your name, address or payment details from these purchases. We may receive anonymous reports such as the number of clicks and the value of a sale. These cookies are controlled by the retailer or network, and their privacy policies apply.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including Shopify (website hosting and newsletter sign-ups) and our email provider. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; in that case appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, are used.
How long we keep data
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and then deleted, normally within 24 months.
